CyberSitter offers an almost equally as strong set of protective features as NetNanny. Along with Email Blocking, CyberSitter offers email filtering which simply channels-in only appropriate content. This was a very advanced feature that goes above and beyond the bar of simple email blocking. IM, P2P and chat blocking are also features to take note of.
Parents, grandparents and older siblings can rest easy. With CyberSitter you'll be able to view all web sites visited by the kids and view chat conversations as well. If you choose you can even block potentially dangerous social sites like MySpace and Facebook. It's packed with the essential features and advanced customizations, yet this software is easy to install and use.
As we mentioned above Cybersitter is almost as dense with features as Net Nanny. You will get rounded protection from search engine control to P2P networking control. Though there is the ability to configure remote reporting , CyberSitter falls short in this feature because it just wasn't as usable as NetNanny.
Filtering Ability
Overall, this program filters from many angles like chat, email and search engine. We liked that there was an Email Blocking feature and an email filtering feature. Sometimes we just want to keep certain content out of our inbox yet still receive the partial email. This allowed for some flexiblility and less interference in our email communications. There will also be daily report emails sent to parents that outline your child's activities.
Usability
This program was easy to use. The interface is clean and understandable.
Installation
Installation went off without a hitch. We were led right through setup and simply selected default setting so that filtering could begin easily and immediately.

A great runner-up to Net Nanny. CyberSitter gives your robust protection with usability.
