Features
FilterPak cannot offer the amazing package that Net Nanny offers, but FilterPak does give in some important areas. In terms of control over the filter program, a password protected access keeps kids from simply uninstalling the filter. FilterPak also blocks emails and filters out based on URL name. So if a questionable URL attempts to load, FilterPak blocks the operation.
Filtering Ability
While FilterPak can block dangerous emails, it really has no control over questionable images because it has no image recognition feature. It can also block certain web content it lacks in the area of chat protection. In the age of chatroom predators that protection is too crucial to leave out.
Usability
We found the interface to be usable and the features were relatively convenient to find.
Installation
We had no problems installing FilterPak.
Summary
Some of the important protection features are here, but some crucial ones are left out. Plus, a higher price makes this product hard to recommend.
